It’s been more than 160 years since a young and adventurous Thomas Hardy embarked on a journey that would one day see his name and wines celebrated across the world. It’s a legacy we continue to celebrate to this day.

Our Winery

In 1876, our pioneering founder, Thomas Hardy purchased our Tintara winery in McLaren Vale, in order to expand his already successful winemaking business. His vision and passion for winemaking meant that the Tintara name was soon synonymous with outstanding Australian winemaking, as was the region of McLaren Vale. Today our Tintara wines remain a testament to Thomas' quality winemaking, combining age-old methods with new-age techniques.
