Hardys Mill Cellars Shiraz 2009 wins Silver Medal from Decanter World Wine Awards 2011. Inky, bold ribena and cherry aromas. Sweet fruit and cherry stone flavours are underpinned by a bacon fat note that enhances the fruit. Quite supple with juicy tannins and a beautiful fresh finish.
The story behind the name: Hardys Mill Cellars
In 1878 Thomas Hardy, founder of Hardys wines, purchased a disused flour mill. With vision and enterprise Thomas converted the old mill into a working winery - which is still being used by the company today. The Mill Cellars range of wines pays homage to the foresight of our founder and the heritage of the company.
